In a sense, all commercial photography is product photography. Product photography is designed to sell. Food, clothing, and all other things for sure, but also… lifestyles for brands, jobs for human resources, investments for raising capital.

But here we’ll focus on just the “things.”

In a world where virtually everything is marketed online, product photography has become 100% essential.

Product photography today needs to work extra hard. Not only does it need to clearly show functionality but it also needs to align with the brand and stir the right emotional response to help drive sales.

Lumecri approaches product photography in three ways:

  1. Functionality Photos. The product photos are often clean, silhouetted photos to clearly show the product features, dimensions, etc.
  2. In-Use Beauty Photos. We use location, staging, and sometimes models to show the product in-use.
  3. Lifestyle Branding Photos. These photos may be similar to in-use, but the focus is less on the product and more on the brand.
